I was born and raised in the Chicago land area. I identify as Biracial and a part of the LGBTQ community. On my maternal side, I am 1st generation Mexican American with roots to Mexico City and Aztec ancestry. My maternal grandmother’s grandfather was also a medicine man, and a medium. From my paternal side, I am African American with familial roots to The American South. Evolving from slavery, my family has also had a history of entrepreneurship.

As a child, I always knew that I had a purpose to inspire and do something different with my path. I found myself constantly intrigued by mystical subjects such as the moon, stones, stories of witches, and the supernatural. In many ways, I feel that I was always connected but that I repressed the gift due to upbringing, institutions, and my own traumas. When I was 12 years old, I had a wonderful therapist that inspired me to do the work she did and help people through their hardships.

In 2016, I rediscovered my connection with the divine and spirituality after it was reintroduced to me through a relationship. During this time, I became fascinated with meditation, astrology, crystals, and self-healing. This was around the time I first learned of Reiki, but did not fully understand it until my 1st attunement in early 2018. During this time, I was attending Northeastern University for my Bachelor’s in Social Work, with a focus on therapy which was my passion and long-term goal.

I achieved this goal and obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Dominican University in Spring 2021. After spending some time in the field, I realized I still wanted to help people overcome their hardships through alternative forms of healing. I wanted to work with people in a way that aligned more with my spirituality which became my main source of strength. I went on in attaining my education and certification as a Reiki Level 2 practitioner in 2022.

I have followed Tarot for years with most of my initial learning coming from YouTube readers that were very inspiring. While I have felt that I chose Reiki, I feel strongly that Tarot chose me.

My journey with Tarot started as a gift on my birthday when I received my 1st deck. I took the time to research each card in detail. I then started doing readings on myself as well as daily card pulls to better understand each card and see how the message applies to my day. I then went on to do readings for family and friends. In my time doing tarot I learned to incorporate Reiki to activate attunement and awareness to connect more deeply with the cards.
